Cookies and your choices

You can prepare and purchase a form without accepting optional cookies. Use the Privacy settings button at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your choices.

Essential storage

We use first-party storage to maintain your secure form session, save drafts, restore checkout, remember the site design and your language preference, and save your cookie choices. Your consent record contains your choices, the notice version, and the date, and expires after 180 days. It is stored in this browser. When you create or use a saved form, we also record the last observed analytics, recording and advertising choices with that form, together with the notice version, choice time and server receipt time. Changes and withdrawal update that record when received. This form record does not itself enable tracking.

Regional choices

We automatically ask for optional consent in the regions covered by our consent-required policy, including the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Türkiye. Cloudflare supplies an approximate country or region from the incoming connection. This location check does not require device location permission. In other recognized countries, analytics, session recordings and advertising measurement start by default without an automatic consent prompt. You can turn each off through Privacy settings. Global Privacy Control disables optional tracking. If your location is unknown or the policy lookup fails, optional tracking stays off and no automatic prompt appears. Privacy settings remain available everywhere.

Optional tracking starts only after the applicable policy resolves and permits it, subject to your saved choices and Global Privacy Control. Rejecting optional tracking keeps form preparation, payment, signing and downloads available. We do not collect anonymous banner or page-load counters before analytics permission.

Optional analytics

When analytics is enabled under your regional policy and choices, Google Analytics, PostHog, and our own usage statistics measure visits, form progress, errors, and purchases. Google may use analytics cookies such as _ga to recognize visits. PostHog uses anonymous browser identifiers in cookies or local storage to connect product events. PostHog session recording is disabled. We send controlled event details, not your name, email, address, tax IDs, signatures, or completed documents. Our form event URLs are grouped as /forms/active. Optional first-party journey events and retained location, device and attribution context also follow analytics permission.

Optional session recordings

When recordings are enabled under your regional policy and choices, Microsoft Clarity records page interactions, including clicks, scrolling, and navigation, using cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Inputs, personal review answers, signatures, and document previews are masked. We also send coded form and account identifiers to connect recordings to the form for support and usability review, without including your name, email or tax answers. Clarity may record page URLs containing a form identifier; the identifier alone does not grant access to your form.

Advertising measurement

When Advertising measurement is enabled under your regional policy and choices, Google Analytics shares measurement data with our linked Google Ads account to connect ad clicks with visits and purchases. Google may use advertising cookies such as _gcl_* and advertising identifiers for this purpose. This is separate from analytics and session recordings. In consent-required regions, accepting only Analytics does not enable Advertising measurement. Personalized advertising and remarketing remain off; this choice does not enable advertising use by Microsoft Clarity. We do not send tax answers, names, email addresses, signatures or completed documents for advertising measurement.

Changing your mind

Rejecting or withdrawing optional consent stops new optional usage events and recordings and removes accessible cookies for the categories you disable. It does not undo information already sent while tracking was enabled. Essential form and checkout storage is retained. If your browser blocks saving preferences, your choice applies to the current page. Check Privacy settings again when you return.
